Message The old Pontiacs and Hursts Olds and other muscle cars were not turbocharged.

When a turbocharged car is boosting, the air inlet velocity is faster than you're linearly traveling, thus no ram air effect. When it's not boosting, and your "ram air" filters are down there, you're just causing a ton of turbulence.

You would think an aerospace engineer would know this. That is, unless he got his degree from a Cracker Jack box.
